Terms and Conditions for Doctors and medical practitioners:

  1. Declaration on information provided:

I hereby declare that all information furnished by me regarding my educational qualifications, specialization, professional affiliations, and achievements is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge, faith, and belief.

  1. Background verification and data validation:
                    As a medical practitioner, I provide my full consent to the Lifeline Solutions administrative and background verification team to conduct verification and validation of the information submitted by me. I understand and agree that if any information is found to be inaccurate or misleading, my ability to practice on the platform may be temporarily suspended until further clarification or communication is provided.

  2. Registration Approval and Renewal:
     a. Approval: A doctor’s registration on the platform will be approved solely by Lifeline’s backend administrative team after reviewing the completed registration form, verifying all supporting documents, and conducting an initial background check. Until approval is granted, the doctor’s status will remain pending, during which the practitioner will be restricted from providing any services on the platform.
    b. Continuous Monitoring: If doctors engage in any malpractice, violate platform policies, or remain inactive for an extended period may be reclassified as Inactive. In such cases, their status will revert to pending and will remain so until the backend administrative team reviews and reinstates their approval.

  3. Association and Role:
    a.
    Title and Department: Each medical practitioner will be assigned to one or more medical departments on the platform and categorized into one of the following three designations, based on their qualifications and professional experience:
    (i) General Physician - Undergraduates (MBBS/BDS), Experience: 2-5 yrs
    (ii) Consultant - Masters (MD/ MS / DNB), Experience: 6-14 yrs (overall)
    (iii) Super Specialist - (DM / MCH / FNB etc.), Experience: overall 15 yrs or more.
    N.B. To register as a Super Specialist, a physician must possess relevant academic qualification and a minimum of five years of practice experience specifically in the respective area of specialization.

b. Roles and Responsibilities: All consultations on the platform will be conducted online. However, patients may book physical clinic appointments when specifically requested by them or when deemed medically necessary by the doctor. In addition to video consultations, doctors may also be required to provide medical guidance or address basic health-related inquiries through the platform’s online chat feature.

C. Standards of Practice: All associated medical practitioners must adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards at all times. This includes compliance with the guidelines and regulations set forth by recognized medical governing bodies such as AIMS, Delhi, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, and international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), NICE (UK) etc.

  1. Term and Schedule:
    a. Work Schedule:
    A doctor’s availability for consultations on the platform will be determined entirely by the weekly time slots selected by the doctor during registration. Each patient consultation will be scheduled for a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes. These time slots may be modified by the doctor or updated by the backend administrative team based on a formal request from the doctor.
    b. Departments and categories: All doctors and medical practitioners will continue under the department(s) and category assigned during registration and approved by the backend administrative team. These assignments will remain unchanged throughout their association unless updated, re-registered, or removed by the admin team for specific, justified reasons.

  2. Compensation and Benefits:
    a. Consultation Charges:
    Doctors and medical practitioners will have the opportunity to negotiate their consultation fees during registration, aligned with industry best practices.
    The recommended fees structure based on category is as follows:
        (i) General Physician: ₹200–250
        (ii) Consultant: ₹250–350
        (iii) Super Specialist: ₹400–500
    N.B. The above fee range is inclusive of platform charges, which may vary between 20% and 25% depending on the situation.
    b. Point Based Benefit System: In addition to consultation charges, all doctors will be enrolled in a point-based benefit system for platform-related activities such as providing medical guidance or addressing basic health-related inquiries. Earned points may be redeemed for monetary compensation or converted to platform benefits. The complete points catalogue will be accessible in the Reward Points section.

  3. Professional Obligations and Conduct:
    a. Valid Registration/Licensure:
    Doctors must maintain an active and valid registration with the appropriate medical council to continue practicing on the platform.
    b. Continuing Medical Education (CME): Doctors are required to fulfil all Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements time to time as recommended by their governing medical authorities.(not sure if applicable in India)
    c. Confidentiality: Doctors must strictly maintain the confidentiality of all patient information, platform data, and intellectual property at all times. This obligation continues indefinitely and must adhere to all applicable data protection laws.

  4. Communication Channel and Dispute Resolution:
    a. Mode of Communication:
    The primary communication channels between doctors and ‘Lifeline Solutions’ will include app notifications, email, WhatsApp, text messages, and phone calls (where necessary). In addition, each doctor will be assigned a marketing executive within the system, who will serve as a secondary communication link between the doctor and the platform.
    b. Disagreement resolution: Any disagreements arising between the parties shall first be addressed through mutual discussion using the available communication channels, with the objective of reaching an amicable resolution.

  5. Disclaimer: ‘Lifeline Solutions’ reserves the right to update, revise, or modify the terms and conditions as required. All updates will be published on the platform’s website and communicated to doctors through the designated primary and secondary communication channels.
